The thirty-fifth session of the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) took place from 24 to 26 October 2018 at the Palais des Nations, in Geneva.
The two main agenda items discussed during the session were:
- Enhancing comparability of sustainability reporting: Selection of core indicators for entity reporting on the contribution towards the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals; and
- Issues of practical implementation of international standards of accounting and reporting in the public and private sectors.
On 22 October, UNCTAD-ISAR hosted a technical workshop “Digital currencies and blockchain: implications for accounting“.
