Vânia da Costa Borgerth is the Deputy Managing Director, Controlling Division of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES). Before that, she held many functions at BNDES, including Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, Head Accountant, Investor Relations Officer and Financial Analyst. Since 2007, she has been a member of the Brazilian Delegation to ISAR. Ms. Borgerth also represents her country as a Council Member at the IFRS Advisory Council (since 2015), the Consultative Advisory Group of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (since 2010), and and the International Integrated Reporting Council (since 2016). Ms. Borgerth holds a Master’s degree in Administration and an MBA in Finance, and is a lecturer at FUCAPE Business School. She is the author of the book “Understanding the Sarbanes-Oxley Act”.
