INTOSAI General Secretariat and the Austrian Court of Audit
During my studies of business economics in Vienna I already started working for an audit firm. After finishing my studies I began working as an Auditor for one of the Big Four. I specialized in auditing companies of the industrial sector and later on I was responsible for auditing the consolidated financial statements of group companies located in Austria. During this time I began with lecture activities in the field of auditing and accounting.
After six years I switched to the Austrian Court of Audit and replaced private entities with the public sector. I complemented my knowledge with the postgraduate studies “Public Auditing”.
In 2013 Austria replaced the cash basis accounting and implemented accrual accounting by changing the Federal Budget Act. Since then I’m a member of the team who is responsible for the Financial Audit of the Federal Financial Statements.
