International Accounting Standards Board
Chungwoo Suh joined the International Accounting Standards Board in July 2012 and was reappointed in 2017. Prior to his appointment, he was a professor of accounting at Kookmin University, Seoul. He served as an advisor to the Korea Accounting Standards Board (KASB) and as chairman of the KASB. From 2008 to 2011, he led South Korea’s preparations for full adoption of IFRS Standards.
Dr Suh holds a PhD in accounting from the University of Illinois, US and an MBA from Seoul National University, South Korea. He is a certified public accountant in South Korea.
