Chair of Accounting and Capital Markets
Professor Dr. Holger Daske is a Professor and Chair of Accounting and Capital Markets at the University of Mannheim, Germany. He currently represents the International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER) on the IFRS Advisory Council. His main research interests are financial reporting and wider corporate reporting, accounting for financial institutions, and the politics of standard setting. He has published numerous articles in leading accounting journals and won several prestigious research awards such as the “Distinguished Contributions to Accounting Literature Award” in 2016.
Prior to joining the University of Mannheim, he worked at the University of Pennsylvania‘s Wharton School and has been a Visiting Professor at London Business School and the University of Sydney. He holds a PhD from Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany.
