Lowri Angharad Rees has spent the past decade working for UN Environment in a range of roles at global and regional levels, mainly in the field of sustainable consumption and production and natural resource management. This has included working on corporate social responsibility and sustainability reporting; coordinating the development of policy-relevant scientific assessments; and managing capacity development projects on integrated development planning and sustainability information. She also spent several years working on environmental negotiations under the auspices of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development and UN Conference on Sustainable Development. She is currently based in the Sustainable Development Goals and Environment Statistics Unit of UN Environment, where she leads the methodological development for several SDG Indicators under UN Environment’s custodianship, mainly under Goal 12 on Responsible Consumption and Production. This includes Indicator 12.6.1 on corporate sustainability reporting, for which UN Environment and UNCTAD act as co-custodians.
