CPA Dr. Patrick Ngumi (PhD) is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Dr. Ngumi sits in various national and regional boards, among them, the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA) as a technical advisor and the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board. He has extensive experience in leadership, public policy, research and financial management amongst others. Prior to joining ICPAK, Dr. Ngumi was the Director Private Sector, Enablers and Competitiveness at the National Economic and Social Council (NESC) of Kenya, a Government of Kenya policy advisory body. He previously served as the Finance Director at Kenya Post Office Savings Bank, Finance and Administration Manager at HFC Bank, and CFO with the Aga Khan Health Service among other senior leadership positions
Dr. Ngumi is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Public Secretary (CPS) and a Chartered Purchasing and Supplies Professional (CIPS). He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK), Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) and the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM). Dr. Ngumi holds a PhD in Business Administration (Finance Major), PhD in Economics, MA (Economics), MBA (Strategic Management) and B. Ed (Hons) among other qualifications.
